In which Gini and Tim discuss some of the Lectionary readings for Palm Sunday: The gospel passage from Mark for the blessing of the palms, which remembers Jesus’ triumphal entry in Jerusalem only to get in and be all like, “Meh…” and leave. We also explore Isaiah’s passage for the suffering servant which both explores Israel’s suffering under Babylon and is viewed by Christians as a poetic exploration of Jesus’ Passion on Good Friday.
Enjoy!
As always, the readings may be found at lectionarypage.net
