Episode 53: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Gaudete Sunday” (said no one ever)

Facebook-Advent-3-Gaudete-Sunday-Time-to-light-67296aJoin Tim and Gini for Episode 53 of the Irreverends: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Gaudete Sunday…” (said no one ever).  Feel better about all the stuff YOU still have to do to get ready for Christmas when you hear how unprepared they are (especially Gini)!  Impress your friends with insider church trivia, like how the third Sunday of Advent is know as “Gaudete” Sunday, from the latin word for “Rejoice.” It’s also known as Rose Sunday for the color of the vestments and the week you light the pink candle in your Advent Wreath.  But more importantly, it is a week in which we hear the Good News that in the Really Big Scheme of Things, God wins, God never forgets us, and God will restore us to wholeness. And all of this even before we get Jesus in the crib!!!
