Our Advent Services begin Sunday, December 3rd at 9:00 and 11:00. Each service begins with the lighting of the Advent wreath candle.
Lessons and Carols
Join us for a candlelight service of Advent Lessons and Carols
Sunday, December 8th at 5:00 pm, followed by a reception in Blake Hall.
The Service of Lessons and Carols popularized by King’s College in Cambridge, England has influenced the American Christian church beyond the Anglican and Episcopal denominations, including liturgical traditions as different from one another as Catholics and Baptists. St. John’s, Georgetown Parish, has celebrated this service in the King’s College tradition for many years with a focus on the stories of the Creation, the Fall, the Prophecy of the Messiah, and the Birth of Jesus.
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Services begin Tuesday, December 24th at 4:00 with our Family service and Christmas pageant and Festival Holy Eucharist. Our second service begins with a 7:30 Choral Prelude followed by 8:00 Festival Holy Eucharist with traditional Christmas Carols. Then join us for Christmas Day service at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 25th.
