For the past couple of years, St. John’s has hosted the Georgetown Ministry Center’s Dinners that give homeless residents of Georgetown a warm, friendly experience during hypothermia season. This year, we will be hosting dinners weeknights from 1/5 – 1/16. We joyfully cook and serve dinner and meaningfully engage in fellowship with our guests. Host hours are from 3pm – 6pm. Whether cooking, prepping, serving or cleaning – all jobs are important and meaningful to everyone involved. Each night requires a team of 8. YOU CAN VOLUNTEER AS AN INDIVIDUAL AS OPPOSED TO A TEAM!
WE DESPERATELY NEED TEAMS FOR THIS MONDAY Jan 5, Wednesday January 7, Friday January 9. If we do not have enough people signed-up, we will have to cancel, which would be truly unfortunate.
We also need folks to bring individually wrapped cookies, brownies or handheld fruit for our Grab-n-Go table. Please drop items off at a time that works best for you.
