GRADUATES CELEBRATION – TODAY, May 10th
It’s time to recognize and celebrate our GRADS at all levels. Please come and meet them,
hear about their next steps, and lend your support and wisdom to our next generation
of movers and shakers – we need them! And of course, none of them would be here
without their Mom’s! Happy Mother’s Day to all our dear Mama’s!
Sophia Elizabeth Ryan, baptized at St. John’s, will graduate from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia in May 2026. Sophia is a member of the Terry College Top 10% Club and the Digital Marketing Program, at UG. She is a grand-daughter of John & Judy Ryan.
Monica Wong graduates this June from James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia, where she has been very active in activities including captaining the color guard and serving as editor-in-chief of the yearbook. She looks forward to studying art and design, participating in the Honors College, and continuing with color guard at Towson University in Towson, Maryland.
Tyler Van Andel, “I am so grateful for the St. John’s community during my time at Georgetown. I will truly miss everyone’s thoughtful questions over Coffee Hour, the care that St John’s meaningfully shares with our neighbors and city, and the joy, present day in and day out.
After graduating in May, Tyler will be working towards a master’s in education degree from Notre Dame over the next two summers and teaching 3rd Grade in Columbus, OH during the school year.
Dylan Patrick Davis, I am very fortunate to be a close neighbor and friend of St. John’s. In my time spent volunteering, attending services, and enjoying stellar concerts with loved ones, I have been met with nothing but warmth and enthusiasm from this loving community.
Upon graduating with a BA in Government and Psychology from Georgetown, I plan on using what I have learned here, alongside my experiences in student government, a capella, outdoor education and retreat leadership, to inform my EMT and Policy work, community engagement, and future relationships. My time at St. John’s in particular, has been key to my philosophy of learning: non scholae sed vitae – not for school, but for life.
Georgia Kaufman is graduating from Georgetown Day School. A varsity track and cross-country athlete, Georgia is also active in the Sierra Club and GDS Enviro Club. She enjoys camping, thrifting, and baking. Georgia will attend Sewanee – The University of the South, where she plans to major in Environmental Studies. Jessica Heywood and Greg Kaufman are her immensely proud parents.
Ryan Talbot is graduating with honors from Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland. He will attend Fairfield University and the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, where he was awarded both academic and athletic scholarships. Ryan will major in Finance and will also play D1 lacrosse at Fairfield. Go Stags! Ryan was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s. His parents are Craig and Liz Talbot and he’s a grandson of John & Judy Ryan.
