Rodger Streitmatter - Rodger has been associated with St. John’s since 2011 but has increased his presence with us since he and his husband, Tom, attended last year’s Drag Bingo event. After that, they committed to immersing themselves in the parish. (Fun fact: the very first wedding that our own Sarah Duggin officiated was Rodger and Tom's, with their 6-year-old twin French/American grandsons as ring bearers!) Rodger is involved with Grate Patrol and also served food to our neighbors during January’s GMC dinners. In his daily life, he is retired from American University where he taught journalism and wrote several books about how the media have shaped the American culture. Rodger has previously served on the vestry of Grace Episcopal church in Radford, Virginia.
