Sarah has served at St. John’s since she came to the parish to do field work as a seminarian in 2007. At St. John’s, Sarah has participated in a number of parish ministries with an emphasis in the area of pastoral care. Sarah attended both Virginia Theological Seminary and Wesley Theological Seminary. Sarah is a member of the diocesan Constitution and Canons Committee, and she is involved in a variety of professional activities related to faith at work. Sarah came to the priesthood after a career in the law. She was a partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Williams & Connolly, LLP and then Vice President & General Counsel of The University of Pennsylvania Health System and the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak). In addition to serving at St. John’s, Sarah teaches Constitutional Law and Corporations at The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law. She also teaches courses in American Law for Canonists at Catholic University’s School of Canon Law. Sarah holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, an A.B. from Smith College, and an M.Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary. She graduated from Wesley in 2009 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2010.
