We know that visiting a church for the first time makes many people nervous. At St. John’s, we try to remember what it’s like to be in your shoes. We do our best to anticipate your questions and to ensure that you feel welcome and comfortable here.

What time is the service on Sunday morning?
During the summer time we have one service at 10:00 a.m.
How long does the service last?
The 10:00 a.m. summer service runs about an hour.
What about Holy Communion?
We celebrate the Holy Eucharist every Sunday and believe that all are welcome at God’s table.
Where can I park?
We’re located at 3240 O St. NW in Georgetown, on the south east corner of O St. NW and Potomac St. NW. On Sundays there’s free parking in the parking lot of Hyde-Addison Elementary School, directly across the street from St. John’s.
Do you offer programs for children?
Yes, professional childcare is available from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
What should I wear?
There’s no dress code. Some people dress up in their Sunday best and others show up in jeans and a sweater, whatever feels comfortable and appropriate for you is fine.
