Does visiting a church for the first time make you nervous?
At St Johns we do our best to anticipate your questions and to ensure that you feel welcome and comfortable here.
Click Here for more information or ask an usher (or really anyone you see) on Sunday morning. Everyone remembers being new and wants to help make sure you are comfortable here.

What Time and How Long are Services?
During the summer (starting Memorial Day weekend) we have one service on Sunday morning at 10:00 am.
The service is simple and joyful with communion and friendly childcare in our atrium.
The service is traditional – but never stuffy! The service is about an hour, and is followed by lemonade, coffee, and treats out on our lawn.
The services run about an hour.
Where Can I Park?
Parking on the street is free on Sundays in Georgetown. The parking lot at the Hyde Addison school across the street is also available for church parking on Sunday Mornings. We’re located at 3240 O St. NW in Georgetown, on the south-east corner of O St. NW and Potomac St. NW.
Do you offer programs for Children?
Yes, we have professional childcare year-round from 9am-12:30am October to June and 9:30am-11:30am during the Summer months. In addition St. John’s Playgroup hosts monthly Saturday morning gatherings at rotating DC area playgrounds for St. John’s families (and friends) with young children. During Summer months we pick locations with splash parks – bring a bathing suit! Coffee provided for parents.
What Should I Wear?

There’s no dress code. Some people dress up in their Sunday best and others show up in shorts and a sandals, whatever feels comfortable and appropriate for you is fine.
