St. John’s Choir

The St. John’s Choir, consisting of adult volunteers and professionals, is widely recognized for its depth and breadth of repertoire and high standard of performance. The choir sings at the 11:00 a.m. Rite II Holy Eucharist liturgy every Sunday, September – June.  They also sing at other festival liturgies throughout the season, including a Festival of Hymns, Anthems and Readings, the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve and Easter Day.

In addition to leading the singing of congregational hymns and service music, the choir sings a setting of the appointed Psalm (Anglican Chant or plainsong), an offertory anthem, and a communion motet each Sunday.  Rehearsal is held on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.

Adults interested in auditioning for the choir should contact the Organist and Choirmaster, Aaron Goen.
